Blue Ridge Molding Wins MAPP Award for Work Station Layout
Blue Ridge Molding recently received the 2019 MAPP (Manufacturers Association for Plastic Processors) award for “Work Station Layout” presented at the Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference in October. This award recognizes the Results of Best Practices in:

- Increase production efficiency
- Standardized visual aides and work instructions
- Team member safety and ergonomic improvement
- Reduced movements and footprint needed
Blue Ridge Molding to Exhibit at Design2 Part Show
Blue Ridge Molding will be exhibiting at the upcoming Design2 Part show in Charlotte, NC—the region’s largest Contract Manufacturing Trade Show—November 13-14, 2019. The show will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center, located in Uptown Charlotte and features over 300 contract manufacturers and service companies

Blue Ridge Molding upgrades to ISO 9001: 2015 Standard
In May of 2019, Blue Ridge Molding, LLC was assessed and certified by QAS International that its management systems, standards and guidelines were in accordance with the ISO 2015 Standard. Blue Ridge underwent current ISO certification in order to update its procedures and operating practices, exuding further confidence in its manufacturing capabilities.
An ISO 9001 Quality Management System is a consistent and systematic method of doing things which insures products and services meet or exceed customers’ expectations and specifications.
Expanding Capabilities with a New 610 Ton Injection Machine
In September 2019, Blue Ridge Molding purchased and installed a new 610 Toshiba EC610SXII injection machine and robot. The new equipment aligns with Blue Ridge Molding’s intent to have all electric machines for efficiency, repeatability and environmental awareness.
In addition, Blue Ridge Molding added a new CMM machine with visual and probe measuring capabilities to further enhance its quality system.
Blue Ridge Molding Donates Boxes to Local Charity for Hurricane Relief
In the wake of the damage of Hurricane Dorian, Blue Ridge Molding is donating boxes from used materials in order to be ultilized as shipping containers en route to the Bahamas. These are large triple wall corugated boxes capable of holding over 1,500 pounds. These boxes would otherwise be recycled, but Blue Ridge Molding saw the need and answered the call to aid the people of the Bahamas after the worst hurricane to hit their country in recorded history.
Blue Ridge Molding Joins Sedex and Successfully Passes First Audit
In March of 2019, Blue Ridge Molding joined a growing number of International Businesses that belong to Sedex. Sedex is a web-based platform that enables suppliers to share self-assessment information in the areas of Labor Standards, Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Wages & Benefits and Business Integrity. Blue Ridge successfully passed its first Sedex audit conducted by UL in October.
