Blue Ridge Molding recently added 27,000 sq. ft. of additional warehouse space to support existing operations and expand customer stocking programs. This enlarges the Blue Ridge plant to over 77,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and warehousing space.
Blue Ridge Expands its Capabilities Again with the Addition of a Second 500 Ton Injection Machine
Blue Ridge Molding has taken delivery of a second 500 ton electric injection machine. In addition, Blue Ridge will also take delivery of another 610 ton machine in June of this year, adding to its collection of state of the art electric machines.
Blue Ridge Molding to Manufacture Soap and Hand Sanitizer Dispensers
In support of its parent company, von Drehle Corporation, Blue Ridge Molding has begun the manufacture of soap and hand sanitizer dispensers. Producing both manual and hands-free versions of the dispensers, these will support the already successful line of von Drehle’s “Transcend” line of tissue and towel dispensers. These new dispensers enable von Drehle Corporation to offer the complete solution to restroom service.

Blue Ridge Molding Wins MAPP Award for Work Station Layout
Blue Ridge Molding recently received the 2019 MAPP (Manufacturers Association for Plastic Processors) award for “Work Station Layout” presented at the Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference in October. This award recognizes the Results of Best Practices in:

Blue Ridge Molding Upgrades to ISO 9001: 2015 Standard
In May of 2019, Blue Ridge Molding, LLC was assessed and certified by QAS International that its management systems, standards and guidelines were in accordance with the ISO 2015 Standard. Blue Ridge underwent current ISO certification in order to update its procedures and operating practices, exuding further confidence in its manufacturing capabilities.
An ISO 9001 Quality Management System is a consistent and systematic method of doing things which insures products and services meet or exceed customers’ expectations and specifications.
Expanding Capabilities Again with a New 500 Ton Injection Machine
In May, Blue Ridge Molding will take delivery of a new 500 Toshiba EC500 SX injection machine and robot. This is the latest addition to its collection of electric injection machines. Blue Ridge has all electric machines ranging from 140 to 720 ton clamping capacity. The new 4-axis robot also has in mold labeling capability.
Blue Ridge Molding Donates Boxes to Local Charity for Hurricane Relief
In the wake of the damage of Hurricane Dorian, Blue Ridge Molding is donating boxes from used materials in order to be ultilized as shipping containers en route to the Bahamas. These are large triple wall corugated boxes capable of holding over 1,500 pounds. These boxes would otherwise be recycled, but Blue Ridge Molding saw the need and answered the call to aid the people of the Bahamas after the worst hurricane to hit their country in recorded history.
Blue Ridge Molding Joins Sedex and Successfully Passes First Audit
In March of 2019, Blue Ridge Molding joined a growing number of International Businesses that belong to Sedex. Sedex is a web-based platform that enables suppliers to share self-assessment information in the areas of Labor Standards, Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Wages & Benefits and Business Integrity. Blue Ridge successfully passed its first Sedex audit conducted by UL in October.
